I have been fiending for Alicia, yes sir. I will not be ashamed into not fiending!
With verse like dis:
"I keep on fallin'
in and out
of love
with you"
Ahh. FEEL THAT METER. FEEL IT. YOU CANNOT STOP THE KITSCH. YOU CANNOT.
Also, I feel the chorus lends a certain emotional weight and texture to the concept of simplicity within R&B, undeniably taking the listener on a journey toward uncertainty with its reasoning. We just don't know how this situation will resolve itself. In and out of love. Mmm, yes. Indeed, the magnitude of this circular argument will shake the foundations of African-American literature in the same way that Baldwin's "The Fire Next Time" redefined the conversations about race in America.
Alicia Keys. Showing us how it's done. Fresh!
