translating belonging to blackness

because I belong

to every

where I be

& because I rep-

resent Chi

too…

I wear my official

city of Chicago

belt-buckle

the one with the four

stars the blue bars

white

Now…

on the South

side all the kids

think I’m

5 ‘O’
